Our Select Grade Organic Matcha is a premium, ceremonial-quality matcha made from 100% first harvest spring leaves, grown without any fertilizers on a family farm in the Kirishima Mountains of Kagoshima. The leaves are shaded for over 20 days before harvest to develop deep umami, complexity, and vibrant green color.
This matcha features a carefully crafted blend of three cultivars:

Okumidori – soft and smooth

Saemidori – adds a savory, umami-rich note
The result is a grassy, crisp flavor with a refined astringency that makes it perfect for both straight matcha and lattes. Organic matcha naturally has a cleaner, sharper profile than conventional matcha, and pairs beautifully with milk to create a balanced and full-bodied drink.
To help control cost this season, the matcha is jet milled instead of stone milled. While this may result in a slightly different texture or color, the core flavor remains strong, clean, and nuanced. This is an excellent matcha for everyday drinking that still meets high ceremonial standards.
Preparation tips:
Enjoy with just water for a bright, focused cup, or pour a concentrated shot over milk for Asha’s signature matcha latte.
