Sourcing Report - Winter 2013, Taiwan - Shan Lin Xi (杉林溪)
After spending New Year’s Eve in Taipei, we headed back south towards the Lugu Township in Nantou County. Before heading to our friend Jack’s farm, however, we made a pit stop at the Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung to check out Chou Shan Tang (秋山堂), the high-end sister tea house to Chun Shui Tang (春水堂).
It’s amazing how different the ambiance at Chou Shan Tang is compared to that of Chun Shui Tang. As soon as we walked into Chou Shan Tang, the bustling noise of Chun Shui Tang disappeared, and was instead replaced by serene classical music and the hushed sounds of flowing water.
Come by Asha to taste some teas that we brought back from Shan Lin Xi. We are offering 4 unique teas from Shan Lin Xi–a standard Shan Lin Xi oolong, a Golden Lily, a High-Mountain Dark Roast, and a High Mountain Black Tea.
Hope you enjoyed reading about our adventures tea sourcing in Shan Lin Xi and stay tuned for more sourcing reports!
