Guizhou Province, China
Guizhou is a mountainous rural province inhabited largely by ethnic minorities. Because it remains undisturbed by the forces of modernization, its idyllic terroir produces a wonderfully crisp green tea.
This reserve grade tea is crafted exclusively from tender buds harvested at the beginning of Spring season. During this small time window, the weather is warm enough for tea bushes to sprout, but still cold enough to prevent them from growing too quickly/large. These small and tender early buds have the ideal qualities for making tea - intoxicating fragrance, complex taste, and low astringency.
