We have enhanced the quality of our Premier Matcha to create a clearer distinction among our three matcha grades.
Our premier grade organic matcha is bright, grassy, crisp, and smooth. The mouthfeel and taste of this tea is very round and three dimensional with a subtle sweetness. The astringency is very minimal for an organically grown matcha, and especially in comparison to our select grade organic matcha.
What is the difference in taste between organic and conventional matcha? Organic matcha is grown without any fertilizer, and as a result it has a crisp, grassy taste versus the nutty, sweet flavor of conventionally grown matcha.
Here is a comparison of our three grades to help you choose the right one:
- Select - Bold, full flavored, with minimal astringency; for latte's
- Premier - Smooth, clean, balanced flavor with no noticeable astringency
- Imperial - Rich, velvety, supple, and intense umami
A 30 bag yields 15 servings, and an 80 bag yields 40 servings.
